Open question at Yahoo:

Why do you put Macs down people?
I don’t get it. People say Macs are crap when 50% haven’t even used on before? Just because Microsofts Windows can run on normal, $hit, cheap PCs doesn’t mean Macs are bad. One person said on Y!A that Macs have loads of problems on Mac OS X which isn’t true at all, I’ve got two Macs that i love because they look beautiful and they do all the things that I want them to do. Windows XP wouldn’t look like it was today if the Mac wasn’t made and you know where all those fonts on Windows came from? They came from the Mac because Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple) made them. If I hear one more person slate the Mac or Apple again, Im gonna flip. If you don’t know what a Mac looks like heres the link: http://www.apple.com/mac
I bet after you have looked at all the pages about the MacBook, iMac and Mac OS X you will change your mind about the Mac and Apple because all the things about “oh macs are crap” and “they are glichy” are simply NOT true.
I am sick of Microsoft and people saying horrible things about Apple and I think people need to see the truth.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t put Macs down people. That sounds terribly painful.

Seven Things I am Thankful For by Luke Gedeon:

Apple Computers – When it comes to software, give me options or give me death. With hardware, I am the complete opposite. I want a machine I can count on to just work. You can’t have any fun experimenting with software if you are constantly fighting with hardware. Some people like that stuff, but not me.

Call me a fruit cake, but I am thankful that Steve Jobs and friends decided to make a better computer, and I am glad that I get to partake of the fruits of their labor.

APPLEecletic Nails Rob Enderle (well considering my quote, this might not be the best descriptive):

he general gist of his argument seems to be that a) if you aren’t selling an $800 NetBook then you’re going to be going out of business next year, and b) Dell’s original Mini Inspiron Mini 9 was well gay. Seriously. “Dell brought out its second netbook, a 12-inch model more appropriate for men.” “… because it has products with both screen sizes, Dell now has a netbook line that should appeal to men and women.” Wow, Rob. Not the first thing I’d have thought you’d be feeling insecure about.

And then nails Mac News World:

Oh, and by the way, Mac News World: the way you have your pages automatically reload themselves every minute or so to artificially inflate your page view count is both deeply annoying and technically defrauding your advertisers. You’ll probably want to fix that after you’ve shown Enderle the door.

From appletell:

With Macworld Expo approaching, you may want to formulate a strategy of how to deal with the Reality Distortion Field. I’ve failed to resist it many times in the past, and with the current economy, you may not be able to afford to fail this time around.

No, you have it wrong. Such a sacrifice to the Apple gods will bring you prosperity. Well, it sounds reasonable when you are there.

From applegazette on whether or not Dear Leader fancies netbooks:

Analyst Ezra Gottheil from Technology Business Research (TBR) needs to find another job.

If you can make it through this very long winded article on Apple Insider, what you’ll find is that Gottheil is certain that Apple is going to release a $599 netbook sometime in the first half of next year.

He bases this on the fact that “It is too much to ask consumers to pay more than twice as much for a PC in these times,”

In other words, he’s pulling it out of his ass.

If he’d been on the last quarter conference call, he would have heard Jobs speak very clearly about not only netbooks, but also about low-end computers. Steve Jobs was very clear.

He’s not interested.

Well he certainly didn’t pull it out of Jobs’ ass. He has none.

Silicon Valley Insider uses the same photo as appletell and accuses Dear Leader of being a fashion FAIL:

Come on guys, you know you looked the same way in the seventies, that was hot stuff back then.
