Why Steve Jobs isn’t entirely wrong about the woes of books
Amen. I know when I was growing up, I read vociferously for pleasure. We used to have those book wagons or whatever that would pass out these little brochures ahead of time and you ordered some books breathlessly waiting the four weeks until they came. Ah, I remember the pleasures of Ghosts I have Been, The Girl Who Could Fly, and Hold the Reigns Free – I read and owned all of the Nancy Drew books. I just don’t see that passion today with the exception of the Harry Potter series. I do believe e-books are the way of the future, but not just e-books as in an e-book reader, but audio books. That is my sole source of reading for pleasure today.

I try to read a mid-sized book a week. I’ve always preferred reading as my favorite form of entertainment.
I try to read a dozen pages a day, but rarely succeed. What is ironic though is if Apple created a whoop-ass product, there could be a reading revolution. I stopped listening to music for a long time until the iPod came along – except for the radio.
