Yesterday, Apple reported record revenues and profits, an impressive feat by itself, but even more so in today’s tough economic climate. It’s even more impressive when you take a look at how some of the other big name companies fared this past quarter.

Apple announced its retail locations brought in $1.74 billion during the December quarter, selling more than a half billion Macs for the fiscal first quarter.

At a time when retailers search for ways to attract customers and announce the shuttering of poorly-performing shops, Apple said it raked in $7 million for each of its 251 stores.

I just found out from one of my friends in apple that Steve Jobs just wants out of apple, and he’s only doing this for the sympathy and the increased sales he’ll get from it. he’s brokered a deal with apple execs to get a HUGE payoff.

It makes me sick that he could even do that to the public.
